The annual assembly 2012 in Donetsk agreed that each member city would produce a work of blacksmith art as a symbol of the Ring of European Cities of Iron Works and their collaboration.

Each member city would produce a number of plaques with its name to be delivered to all member cities to be integrated into their sculpture.

Since then every member community produced the name plaques, and most of them also a sculpture to carry the plaques.
