Common Sculpture / Ring Cubes

To the annual assembly 2007 the creation of a common sculpture was suggested. The metal, be it iron, brass, copper, bronze, etc. is the basis.

Each community contributes something unique to a synthesis. All have the same imaginary space at their disposal, and everyone can decide on an individual expression of form. The measurements of 100x100x100mm must be strictly obeyed, so that the cube (die) can be piled up. It can be full or hollow and can be made of different materials.

The aim of the common sculpture is to encourage closer cooperation between politicians on the one hand and craftsmen/artists on the other hand. The fact that a common project is carried out may even result in more autonomy of the individual partners.

The sculpture should be taken to every community where the General Meeting takes place and be presented again there. As a ring, a tower, a pyramid, a wall, a line,… in different forms and always unique. Should new members join the Ring, the sculpture can also get bigger.
